We first went to South Korea back in 2012. I remember having to line up outside the Korean embassy just to submit our requirements. While I enjoy traveling, I really hate the hassle of having to scuttle back and forth multiple embassies just to get visas. It’s so time-consuming and tedious. I often wish I had a more powerful passport that can do away with all this.
The good news is, the Korean Visa Application Center (KVAC) has partnered with W Express to make visa application a lot more convenient. W Express (formerly DHL Philippines) is now the sole accredited courier partner of KVAC. Through this collaboration, Filipino applicants can now conveniently submit their Tourist Visa (C 3-9) applications at any W Express branch, eliminating the requirement for in-person submissions.
Since I’m very much into K-Drama and K-Pop now (I wasn’t back then), I really want to visit South Korea again. Lucky for me, BDO is having a Korean Visa promo for their elite credit card holders and my credit card is qualified. Then I heard that I can now easily submit my visa application and requirements via the mail through W Express. All I need to do is go to the nearest branch and pay ₱1,900 application and delivery fee. Delivery fee is subject to change depending on location. The entire process, from the submission of the application to W Express to the delivery of your passport, usually spans 14-16 working days. This surely beats driving all the way to Taguig when I can just go to W Express in Robinsons Galleria, which is a lot closer to my workplace in San Juan.
