Shu Uemura Philippines recently launched Shu’s 135th mode make-up collection — the decadent chocolate-inspired Chocolat Donna.
I got the Shu Uemura Chocolat Donna Mint & Vanilla Palette from the launch. I felt as if I was unboxing a chocolate bar when I took it home.
There are six absolutely yummylicious-looking shades. From left to right: sparkling gold, sparkling mint green, matte light mint green, pearl dark beige, matte light earth brown, and creamy dark brown. The palette looks too good to use. I almost couldn’t bring myself to swipe my brush over it.
Here’s a closer look at pearl dark beige, matte light earth brown, and creamy dark brown.
Here are swatches of the next three colors. The matte light mint green matches my skin so much it just disappears even if I put on layer upon layer.
I gave it a test run by using it for the Shu Uemura Tsuya event which I will blog about soon. I first applied matte light mint green all over my eyelid close to the lashline, then I apply a combination of pearl dark beight and matte light earth brown on the crease while blending upwards. I top the eyelid with sparkling mint green and use sparkling gold as the highlighter under the browbone.
After the eyeshadows, I finish the look with K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Real Lasting Eyeliner in Super Black and Shu Uemura Ultimate Natural Mascara in Dark Brown.
Products I used for this FOTD:
- Laneige Snow Essence Balm SPF33 PA++ in Natural BB
- 0Kuma Concealer in 01 Moisturizing
- Skin Food Peach Sake Silky Finish Powder
- K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Lasting 2 Way Eyebrow in 01 Chocolate Brown
- Shu Uemura Chocolat Donna Mint & Vanilla Palette
- K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Real Lasting Eyeliner in Super Black
- Shu Uemura Ultimate Natural Mascara in Dark Brown
- Laneige Snow Crystal Melting Glossy Lipstick in SR 212 Floral Pink
- Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Supreme Shine Lipstick in PK 052 Lilac
Haha, I just noticed I used fewer products here compared to my past FOTDs! Either I’m getting lazy or I’m using more heavy duty products now. 0Kuma Concealer doubles as an eye primer by the way. I will post individual reviews for all the above products eventually. Of course before I started applying make-up I cleansed, toned, and moisturized my face first plus put on eye cream to make the concealer/eye primer glide smoothly.
Anyway, a Shu Uemura Chocolat Donna palette like the one I used above costs P4,000. There are three kinds available. This is a limited edition product so it’ll be gone after the season is over. You can get Shu Uemura Chocolat Donna make-up products at all Shu Uemura counters and boutiques (Power Plant Mall, Alabang Town Center, Trinoma, SM Mall of Asia, Rustan’s Department Store in Shangri-la Plaza Mall and Makati).
