And it’s another shopping post. Okay, so this actually took place last February 13, before my 45-second Puregold GCASH shopping spree. My timelines are a bit messed up.
Before anything else, let me just say that Common Thread reminds me of Urban Outfitters in the US. Urban Outfitters is a store which sells practically everything — his and hers apparel, footwear, accessories, gadgets… they even have books. Common Thread is kinda like that, a mix of everything you need to be perfectly casual. It’s a franchise from Singapore.
So anyway, I went to the grand opening of Common Thread in Greenbelt 5 and was surprised when I was handed a P2,000 shopping card valid for that day. It was a shopping event, woot! Some of my blogger friends bought Bensimons, which cost P2,295 per pair. I already have a pair of Bensimons so I moved on to other things.
I considered getting a pair of Swappeez sandals. Aren’t they just summery? Each Swappeez sandals kit comes with looooong straps and embellishments like stones or flowers so you get to customize how your Swappeez look.
I decided against it because it seemed too complicated. I can’t imagine having to tie up those looooong strings every single time and they look like they will loosen while I am walking.
Common Thread also sells Thread 365 shirts. Hubby thinks I have too many t-shirts already so I passed.
Accessories? They have bracelets and necklaces by Pieza and various sunglasses which include Ray-Bans.
I was surprised to see them selling Leyende products too. I was tempted to get the facial wash but I have too many of those at home waiting to be reviewed so again, no.
More accessories! I actually got a necklace from this rack, I’ll show you later.
More shirts, shoes, and accessories — I’m not a fan of ballet flats although I’m happy with the one I got from Le Bunny Bleu.
Loads of Havaianas at Common Thread, but I already have too many Havs at home so I skipped them.
The good thing is you can customize your Havaianas and Bensimons at Common Thread by adding quirky pins or getting colorful shoelaces.
Common Thread carries K-Way jackets and I was surprised when I found out they cost P3-4k each.
Gadgets abound as they have various earphones and Loudbasstard bamboo sound amplifiers.
You will surely find a pair to match your mood or outfit. I didn’t get headphones because I have way too many already.
Aside from Havaianas and Bensimon, you can get these shoes as well. They have so much stuff on display I don’t think I captured everything. Quirky gift items, stationery sets? Check! You just have to see for yourself.
We had fun going around the store, thanks to Mrs. Martinez for this photo. So what did I end up getting?
Two things — a totes automatic open and close umbrella worth P1,595 and a Common Thread owl necklace priced at P595.
I’m super happy about the umbrella. Hubby and I saw a stall in Korea selling totes automatic umbrellas but decided to purchase one later on. We did not come across another stall for the rest of the trip! Thus we went home totes-less. I like it because it’s the perfect umbrella to carry when you have your hands full as it opens AND closes automatically plus it’s made of a waterproof fabric so all you have to do is give it a little shake and it’s dry! I was ecstatic when I saw them for sale at Common Thread.
