To be honest, I’m not the type who can’t leave the house without spritzing on fragrance. Using scented soaps and scrubs is usually enough for me. I must admit though, fragrance can add a certain allure and air of sophistication that soaps can’t.
DKNY was kind enough to send me a bottle each of their newest fragrances, pureDKNY. I was drawn by the clean and simple look of the packaging as I prefer uncomplicated fragrances that don’t overwhelm my olfactory nerves.
The fragrance comes in a crystal clear raindrop-inspired bottle that’s made of recyclable glass. The cap is made from recyclable aluminum. I actually like how it feels in my hand.
I love the clean and green vibe pureDKNY a drop of verbena exudes.
pureDKNY is helping to empower women around the world through the purchase of naturally derived ingredients and its partnership with CARE. In honor of pureDKNY Verbena’s launch, DKNY will make a donation to support CARE’s continent-wide Access Africa program which provides resources to help more women escape poverty.
Then there’s pureDKNY in a drop of vanilla. It’s a markedly warmer and stronger scent compared to verbena. I also find it more… mature, haha! The vanilla note is very pronounced. If I close my eyes I could swear there are whole vanilla beans in the bottle. Between the two variants, I prefer verbena.
By purchasing its vanilla from local Ugandan vanilla farmers, the majority of which are women, pureDKNY has taken a step to help secure long-term vanilla production in Uganda.
Purchasing pureDKNY fragrances lets you help out women in Africa. 🙂
pureDKNY fragrances are available at all Rustan’s Department Stores nationwide. A 50ml bottle costs P3,500 while a 100ml bottle costs P4,500.
