Ever wondered what happens when Nick Takes Over Your School? I have. I would see Nickelodeon heavily advertise it on TV and I get to thinking how lucky today’s kids are with all these interesting activities and opportunities surrounding them. You see I studied in a very strict school with no sense of fun. I never even experienced JS Prom because our school would not allow it.
So anyway, earlier today, Nickelodeon took over my daughter’s school and her batch was the lucky group chosen to experience it (since it’s quite impossible to involve the whole student body).
There were lots of sponsor booths and games where you could win prizes.
My daughter tried all three flavors (orange, apple, and grape) of Sunkist juice since it was free-flowing for hours!
Then you get to pick a prize from a bucket of slime. My daughter got a foldable Nick fan.
The green gooey slime sticks and stains your skin, lol. We were assured however that it would wash off with soap and water.
Aside from booths, the gymnasium’s center area was closed off for group games. Students were called by class so everyone could participate. Classes (both students and parents) were required to wear color-coded shirts so they could easily be identified.
It was an enjoyable experience for us. Two Nickelodeon mascots were slated to appear for the finale but we didn’t stick around for it.
Has Nick taken over your school? This year marks their 10th year of doing so and I’m thankful we had the chance to experience it. 😀
