Whenever I go to the ladies room here in Metro Manila, the single most prevalent activity for the ladies is applying powder. I won’t even say face powder because there are still quite a number who use baby powder — sprinkling it on their palms and then patting it on their faces. There’s always a row of women powdering their faces. That said, I believe powder is one of the more popular cosmetic products among Filipinas. I don’t see the same scene when I go to ladies rooms in other countries. Good news to powder enthusiasts — Maybelline White Superfresh Powder Foundation is here!
That said, I bet a lot of ladies will be thrilled with the coming of this affordable and revolutionary new powder foundation from Maybelline — Maybelline White Superfresh Powder Foundation SPF 34 PA+++.
To demonstrate just how effective Maybelline White Superfresh Powder Foundation is, we all did The Fresh Test.
Two types of powder foundation were placed in a box and we were given a small atomizer filled with water and told to spray water on both. Check out the photo above — see how Brand X is all wet while Maybelline White Superfresh Powder remained matte and dry. Thanks to Perlite and Clean Touch Technology, water disperses immediately. Just imagine what it can do if your face gets oily or sweaty!
I got to try the Maybelline White Superfresh Powder Foundation at the event as applied by Maybelline’s makeup artist. I love how it made me look so fresh-faced!

So I got to take home my own Maybelline White Superfresh Powder Foundation in 02 Nude Beige, the lightest shade. Shades available are:
- 02 Nude Beige (my shade)
- 03 Natural
- 04 Honey
- 05 Sand Beige
I love the slim and lightweight compact design which makes it very easy to bring around.
It comes with an applicator sponge.
This is how Maybelline White Superfresh Powder Foundation looks on me when applied on its own — no primer, liquid foundation, BB Cream, or CC Cream underneath. I did of course cleanse, tone, and moisturize beforehand.
This is how it looked 6 hours later, no retouch. My face relatively shine-free, it just looks a bit more dewy, which I think is better.
What I like about Maybelline White Superfresh Powder Foundation:
- It’s really affordable at P299!
- It’s available in 4 different shades.
- It keeps oil and even sweat at bay.
- It’s very handy and easy to bring around.
- It’s got SPF 34 PA+++ so your face is protected from the sun.
Downside? This product has a tendency to dry up your face (super oil and moisture absorption powers at work) so I don’t recommend it for dry skin.
Okay here’s a question, aside from the price, what’s the difference between Maybelline White Superfresh Powder Foundation and L’oreal Mat Magique Matte Transforming Powder? Both are powder foundation products which promise 12 hours of shine-free coverage with no retouch required after all. Well, Maybelline White Superfresh is more lightweight in terms of texture and coverage. If you need to cover dark spots, acne marks, etc. Mat Magique will be better for you since it provides medium to heavy coverage. However, if you just want a lightweight everyday powder that can keep the shine away, Maybelline White Superfresh is more suited for that purpose. Maybelline White Superfresh is also good for topping off your BB or CC Cream for a matte finish.
Maybelline White Superfresh Powder Foundation is available at leading department stores and drugstores nationwide for P299.
