I got this set of L’oreal Velvet Pinks La Vie En Rose Lipsticks some time ago for review. I was excited when I saw the word Pinks because I’ve always preferred pink and rose-toned lip color.
I wonder what shade the girl on the box is wearing?
L’oreal Velvet Pinks La Vie En Rose promises a blooming pink for every Filipina skin tone. There are seven (7) celebrity-inspired shades:
- For fair skin tones – CP21 Jasmine (Naomi Watts), CP24 Primrose (Blake Lively), CP30 Camelia (Doutzen Kroes)
- For medium skin tones – CP26 Iris (Aishwarya Rai), CP28 Fuschia (Liya Kebede)
- For morena (dark) skin tones – CP29 Rose Lotus (Jennifer Lopez), and CP27 Nymphea (Eva Longoria)
Let’s have a look at the lippies, shall we? First, we have the the shades recommended for fair skin tones.
Wow, three very different shades of pink! I can already tell from the swatches that they will all suit me, lol!
These are the shades for medium and morena (dark) skin tones.
They’re all pretty! It’s going to be hard making up my mind which one to use when I go out. I took photos of all the shades outdoors and indoors, so you know how they look under natural and artificial light.

Last but not the least is CP27 Nymphea (Eva Longoria).
CP27 Nymphea (Eva Longoria)
Whew! I went out after trying on all 7 shades of the L’oreal Velvet Pinks and ended up wearing CP27 Nymphea. I know they said it’s recommended for morena skin tones but it’s one of my favorites from this collection along with CP26 Iris.
What I like about the L’oreal Velvet Pinks:
- They live up to their name — they’re really smooth and velvety in terms of texture.
- All the shades suit me!
- They’re long-wearing. I had lunch complete from appetizer to dessert and when I got home my lips still had color! I didn’t retouch.
- They don’t dry out my lips.
- They have a semi-matte finish so lips look nice and supple.
- They’re reasonably priced at P400 per tube.
Downside? It’s hard to decide which shade to buy or use!
The L’oreal Velvet Pinks lipsticks are available for P400 each at leading department stores nationwide. What do you think? Which shades do you like best?

Ahhh I can’t decide which one I like most! I like them all! Also, it all suits you so well! 🙂
Thanks! So confusing… XD
I like long-wearing lipsticks because I’m too lazy to retouch or bring kikay kit when I’m out.
I Think they all look nice on you. And youre super right. It is so hard to choose, but if sapilitang isa lang talaga pipiliin (hiihihi) I would prefer Primrose.
All shades are gorgeous and perfect for everyday use! I want to try them all!
I couldn’t decide which shade is the loveliest too! I don’t usually wear pink lipstick but I have my eyes on the berry shade, Rose Lotus.
