If you’ve been reading my blog, you’d know how addicted I am to Korean beauty products. I’m always shopping at Althea lol! But I discovered another online store recently — Esfolio. Okay, let me explain. Esfolio is a Korean beauty brand. According to the Korean website, the brand name combines the words Esthetic + Portfolio. Esfolio is dedicated to developing products that can heal and rejuvenate the skin naturally.
The good news is, Esfolio is now in the Philippines! The distributor set up an online shop where we can easily order their products. They even have free shipping for orders worth P300 and up! Given my addiction, I just had to give it a go lol.
Whoa… facial sheet masks at only P54.95 each! They have all skincare products, I didn’t see any makeup. I bought a bunch of masks for everyone — me, hubby, and kids (yup I have teenage kids who need skincare!).
My orders arrived via LBC around 3 days after I placed it on their website.
So what did I get? I believe that in order to see if a skincare line works, I have to get the basics — toner, moisturizer, and serum. The other components like cleanser, eye cream, etc are interchangeable. But you will get the best results if the toner, moisturizer, and serum come from the same line. Esfolio sells these 3 skincare basics as a package called Daily Skin Set. The set is priced at P2,500. All you have to do is choose which line you will get. You can buy the products individually but it would cost more. Anyway, I was torn between Marin Water and Soy Milk but finally settled for Soy Milk.
The Esfolio Soy Milk Daily Skin Set is formulated for oily and combination skin. It promises to moisturize and brighten the skin. It’s also supposed to minimize fine lines, wrinkles, and scars or acne marks if used on a daily basis. I’m excited to try it out!
Then I got the Esfolio 2 Step Multi Oil & Peeling Cleanser (P949). It’s an oil-based cleanser that also removes makeup and exfoliates the skin. Talk about multi-tasking. I’m also trying the Esfolio Black Pearl Hydrogel Eye Patch (P899). One jar contains 60 sheets so that’s good for 30 uses. This is supposed to help lighten dark circles which is one of my perennial problems.
Of course I hoarded the P50+ masks! I got a total of 11 masks — Milk Essence, Pearl Essence, Green Tea Essence, Volcanic Ash Essence, Honey Essence, and Banana Essence.
My skin was feeling yucky so I decided to try the Green Tea Essence Mask Sheet first. It promises to clean, clear, hydrate, and refresh the skin.
You’re supposed to leave it on for 15-20 mins. I always do 20. I love the cooling sensation! The mask is also just the right thickness — not too thin and not too thick so it’s easy to put on.
I love how the mask didn’t leave a sticky feeling after I removed it. My face also felt really refreshed during and after application.
I’ll be posting reviews of the stuff I got in the coming days! But I can already vouch for their face masks. Super love the Green Tea Essence Mask Sheet I tried. My daughter tried the Milk Essence Mask Sheet and she said it smelled like sweet milk. It also made her face feel nice. You already get free shipping by buying something like 6 masks for P300+!
