Kanebo is an upscale Japanese cosmetics brand known worldwide for high quality skincare and makeup products. I have been familiar with the brand for years, though I have not really experienced a lot of their products firsthand. I’m all for trying out new stuff all the time and I trust Kanebo’s over-a-century old history of creating quality products. I attended the Kanebo Skin Harmonizer launch last week and I’m quite excited to give the skincare line a try.
The Kanebo Skin Harmonizer (₱2,500) is a revolutionary product which balances the skin, trapping sebum while moisturizing skin and relieving dryness. It’s the 3rd step if you are adapting the Kanebo skincare regimen with facial wash being the first and toner second. I would tell you to use just any non-drying facial wash but if you want the full Kanebo experience, I recommend the Kanebo Comfort Stretchy Wash (₱3,000). It’s a cream type of facial wash which cleans skin thoroughly but doesn’t leave it feeling dry and taut. I have been using it for a while and it’s been good to my face.
After washing your face, toner comes next and the Kanebo Radiant Skin Refiner (₱2,700) is a good option. It completely removes impurities and conditions skin with moisture. It’s really good if you’ve been out the whole day especially if you’ve been wearing makeup. It really deep cleans the face.
The Kanebo Skin Harmonizer (₱2,500) comes next. This product tackles both oiliness and dryness at the same time, it’s so innovative and efficient that it’s perfect for combination skin. Most of us have combination skin to a certain degree — oilier on the T-zone and drier on the cheeks and elsewhere. I like how this leaves my skin feeling fresh, clean, and moisturized all at the same time.
After cleansing and toning comes moisturizing. If it’s daytime, you use Kanebo Cream In Day (₱4,800). It has SPF 20 PA+++ and it provides 12-hour hydration for the skin. It also helps makeup go on more smoothly plus gives skin a nice dewy texture.
For night time, there’s Kanebo Cream In Night (₱6,000). Like the day cream, the night cream provides 12-hour moisture. The formulation is inspired by the vernix gently enveloping newborn babies’ skin, delivering long-lasting hydration and elasticity. I like how my skin feels in the morning when I wake up when I use this.
Kanebo Philippines also launched their newest lipstick, the Kanebo Rouge Star Vibrant Lipstick (₱2,100). I got shade V03 Rapture Rose.
It’s a rosy hue that leans more towards red than pink. The finish is glossy and it glides on the lips like a dream. Moisturizing too. There are 12 shades available, 2 of which are limited (EX1 Delight Orange and EX1 Sweet Up).
This is how Kanebo Rouge Star Vibrant Vo3 Rapture Rose looks when applied on the lips. It stayed on until I ate and drank at a function, so you might want to bring the tube with you for reapplication if you’re eating/drinking.
Anyhow, good news! Kanebo Philippines now has a Lazada Flagship Store — Kanebo Global PH. Do check it out since they have the best prices and deals. Really convenient especially if you’re replenishing your supply and you already know what you need. If you want to get a feel of the products and swatch some shades, I recommend visiting the luxurious Kanebo Boutique in Mitsukoshi BGC.
