This is a long overdue post but the holidays are just around the corner and it’s about that time of the year when everybody’s shopping! Happy Skin is a homegrown brand that has captured the fancy of beauty aficionados here in the Philippines. It recently celebrated its first birthday and well, the timing was just perfect for them to launch their holiday line!
Happy Skin founders Jacqe Yuengtian-Gutierrez and Rissa Mananquil personally presented the entire collection.
Here’s a first — an eye shadow palette called All Eyes on Hue (P1,299, pictured above)! Finally, after one year, Happy Skin comes out with eye shadows!
There are 4 shades: Oarmeal, Biscuit, Hazelnut, and Espresso. It comes with detailed application instructions too.
Then there’s a special limited editions set of Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippies called Forbidden Fruit (P1,399, pictured above).
There are 3 shades: Mistletoe Kiss, Under The Sheets, and Naughty and Nice.
Here’s a nice set if you’re just getting started with Happy Skin — Happy Skin Served On A Silver Platter (P1,999, pictured above).
It contains a 10ml tube of Happy Skin SS Second Skin Cream (Shade 02), Eye Am Here To Stay Limited Edition Mini Gel Eyeliner in Watermelon, Shut Up and Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippie in Honeymoon Glow, and Happy Skin Get Cheeky With Me Hydrating Blush in Honeymoon Glow. It’s definitely worth more than P2k in terms of value.
Now there’s also Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me Lip & Cheek Mousse (P699 each, pictured above). They work like a tint and I can’t wait to try them out!
For tonight I shall review Happy Skin Forbidden Fruit Limited Edition Lippie Set (P1,299, pictured above).
Here are the 3 shades. Since they cost P1,399 as a set, it comes out to around P466 per lippie. It’s cheaper compared to the P549 individual price tag if you buy them per piece.

What I like about the Happy Skin Forbidden Fruit Limited Edition Lippie Set:
- Each one glides on my lips oh-so-smoothly! I swear the formula has improved since the first batch of these lippies were released a year ago. I used to find them kind of drying but these are definitely easy to apply and very moisturizing.
- They are all highly pigmented. Just look at how the colors pop!
- They’re reasonably priced at P466 to P549 a piece depending on how you purchase them (as a set or individually).
- I love how there’s a shade for every kind of look — nude, pink, and red!
Downside? They transfer onto everything so easily! Anything that touches my lips get stained with color.
