During the last Greenwich event, John Lloyd Cruz was literally my seatmate. And he was there for the ENTIRE duration. I mean, big stars like John Lloyd usually just come and go so it’s lucky if you even catch them for a photo opp.
Anyhow, I was invited to check out the newly revamped Greenwich in SM North EDSA. This is the first of many renovations because eventually, all Greenwich branches will be sporting this cool new look. I got an inside tip that John Lloyd was going to be there for a photo shoot, lol.
Before that, let’s see Greenwich’s new look. It’s now wood and bricks, the way a traditional US-based pizza parlor would usually look like.
I like it! It’s very conducive to get-togethers. There’s even a function room for a more intimate bonding experience with family and friends.
And yes, JLC was there! Earlier that afternoon he distributed free Greenwich pizza to mall goers. He lost a lot of weight and he’s more tanned now. The last two times I saw him he was lighter-skinned. There was actually a huge crowd outside Greenwich and it was quite a challenge to go inside since the entrance was cordoned off and guarded. We managed to squeeze our way through the crowd somehow, haha!
I tried their new Mango Cooler. It’s basically a mango shake with chewy black pearls, yum! Perfect for the summer. It’s only P39 per serving too!
We also had barkada-sized Pizza Fries (P89, pictured above). I loved dipping the crunchy pepperoni-flavored fries in the spicy sauce!
Then we had a Jumbo Crunchy Chicken Quartet (P277, pictured above) to share. I may not like chicken in general but I love Greenwich’s chicken. It’s cooked really well, through the bones, so there’s no blood and other icky stuff plus the portions are BIG. Yes, even the drumstick is big. The skin is super crunchy too, just the way I like it! Ooops, I forgot to take a pic of the Ultimate Hawaiian Overload Pizza that we also had…
Here’s to bonding with my Greenwich Barkada (pagbigyan niyo na hahaha) — Cookie, JLC, and Mrs. M! I’m not that into showbiz but hey I wouldn’t mind having someone like JLC as a BFF, lol, asa pa. After dinner, we had a super fun quiz night with a group of fellow bloggers. We didn’t win but it was lots of fun! 😀
