Do you love taking selfies? Guess what, I got a selfie kit from Freshlook Philippines! Since I blog about beauty products a lot, I need to take truckloads of selfies.
You know I’ve always been fascinated by those big pupil contact lenses but I’m to scared to try them out. I don’t like squinting a lot because it causes wrinkles around the eye area plus I don’t like the discomfort associated with large circle lenses. Then came Freshlook Illuminate Dailies.
Freshlook is a brand I trust because I have tried their contact lenses and I like them. What’s more it’s a reputable brand that’s widely recommended by eye doctors. Their lenses are so soft and flexible it’s easy to forget you have them on. Anyhow, the first thing I do when I have a pack of Freshlook on hand is check the expiry date. Your eyes are too precious to risk using products that are way beyond their shelf lives, lol.
Freshlook Illuminate Dailies comes in packs of ten (10) which is equal to five (5) pairs. These are daily disposable lenses so you’re not supposed to keep them after use. Put on, use, take off, and throw away at the end of the day.
Freshlook Illuminate comes in only two colors: Jet Black and Rich Brown. As you can see, they’re not colored lenses, they’re not designed to change your eye color.
You use them to make your pupils seem bigger. It’s just like how the Japanese and Koreans like their eyes all big and circular and well… anime-like.
Here are my photos before and after I put on Freshlook Illuminate in Jet Black. Disclaimer: I have no makeup on the before photo, I have makeup in the after photo. I used the same Xiaomi Mi3 phone camera to take both photos.
Freshlook Illuminate contact lenses look very very natural. Even I have a hard time telling I have them on, lol.
I did notice that they make a big difference in selfies. I think my eyes look more alive with them on.

A pack of ten (10) Freshlook Illuminate contact lenses (that’s 5 pairs) costs P650. That’s P130 per use.
