It seems I can never get enough of lip color — whether lipstick, lip balm, lip stain, or lip gloss. Lip color is the quickest way to liven up your look. I use lip balm everyday to keep my lips from drying out. If it’s got color, then that’s a bonus… like Etude House Sugar Tint Balm!
This summer, there’s Etude House Sugar Tint Balm (P498) to keep your lips soft and pretty. I got two of them for review — Etude House Sugar Tint Lip Balm in #2 Cranberry Pie (P498, above left) and Etude House Sugar Tint Lip Balm #6 Grapefruit Tea (P498, above right). I wasted no time trying them out. They look like candy, I love it!
There are actually a total of 8 fruit-inspired shades:
- No. 1 Strawberry Milk
- No. 2 Cranberry Pie
- No. 3 Apple Kiss
- No. 4 Tomato Ketchup
- No. 5 Pink Macaron
- No. 6 Grapefruit Tea
- No. 7 Grape Jam
- No. 8 Blackberry Jam
There’s something for every complexion as there’s a variety of hues ranging from peach, pink, purple, to red.
Here are swatches of Etude House Sugar Tint Balm in No. 2 Cranberry Pie and No. 6 Grapefruit Tea. Pretty pigmented for lip balms, don’t you think?
Here I am wearing both colors.
What I like about Etude House Sugar Tint Balm:
- Like I said, it’s pretty pigmented for a lip balm. It’s lipstick-level color already, I think.
- I like the light fruity candy scent.
- It lives up to its name, there’s a sweet candy-like taste to it.
- It’s formulated with Jojoba oil, organic Argan oil, and Vitamin E to moisturize your lips.
- I adore the super cute packaging!
- There are 8 colors to choose from!
Downside? It’s a bit thick when you first put it on so I recommend exfoliating your lips prior. It’s not a good idea to apply this over chapped lips because the product is quite soft and creamy, bits of balm will stick to the chapped skin and it won’t be pretty.
