I attended the launch of DKNY’s latest scent, DKNY Be Delicious Intense, last November 29 at The Peninsula Manila.
When it comes to perfume, I prefer fruity scents so this was was right up my alley… hehe!
Smelling stations were all over the venue. You could just walk up and take a whiff of the three variants.
Prior to the event we were sent kits with shirts and some art materials (mostly pens and glitters) so we could design our own Be Delicious shirt. It was a contest actually and the winner would be determined by voting at the venue.
This shirt by Isabel Roces was the runaway winner in the end. We could vote by sticking green apple stickers onto the shirt.
Isabel won P10k worth of Rustans GCs, the whole DKNY Be Delicious collection, and an apple-shaped Aranaz bag.
Had a photo op with fellow bloggers Mrs. Martinez, Earth, and Kim.
DKNY’s new fragrance comes in three variants:
- DKNY Golden Delicious (gold bottle) – Um… smells like an old lady. It has orange notes but it’s such a mature scent the citrus element just isn’t evident. Tanders was the first word which came to mind… hahaha!
- DKNY Be Delicious (green bottle) – This has very obvious apple notes. It’s my favorite among the three. I spritzed on some during the event and after a while it smelled even more fresh than when I first sprayed it. I’d describe it as sort of bagong ligo (as if I just showered)… on me anyway. I know perfumes tend to vary in scent depending on who it’s sprayed on. This works for me!
- DKNY Fresh Blossom (pink bottle) – Supposedly the lightest of the three, it’s more floral than fruity in terms of scent. A combination of rose and lily of the valley, it’s not really for me. But don’t take my word for it, I’m like the minority when it comes to women and flowers. I just have a thing against flowers. I actually instructed my hubby before we were married never to give me flowers. They are too reminiscent of funerals waaah… you buy them and they die plus I don’t even like how most of them smell. XD
Anyway, lucky for me I got my favorite variant as a token for attending the event. Wheee! 😀
DKNY Be Delicious Eau So Intense perfumes cost P3,600 for a 50ml bottle and P4,800 for a 100ml bottle. They’re available at Rustans Department Stores, Landmark, and selected SM Department Stores. Do take a whiff if ever you pass by these places. 😀
