For my 19th BB Cream review, I go local again since I got a full-sized tube of Avon Skin Goodness BB Cream (P399) from the Glamourbox Avon Box. Yes, Avon is an international brand but according to the packaging, this BB Cream is made in the Philippines and exported to other countries like Indonesia.
A full-sized tube of Avon Skin Goodness BB Cream contains 18g / 18ml of product. It’s very small compared to imported BBs which usually contain anywhere from 30ml – 60ml of product.
At least it’s handy and easy to bring around.
I like tube-type containers like this because it’s hygienic and it makes it easy to dispense product.
Avon Skin Goodness BB Cream has a thin, water-like consistency. It’s more like a lotion rather than a cream. Not really liking the shade at first glance.
I noticed that it provides extremely little coverage. My freckles were still very much visible after application. I mean, my freckles are light enough not to be considered dark spots but the Avon BB still wasn’t able to cover them up.
At least it looks luminous, bright, and dewy under natural light by my window.
What I liked about Avon Skin Goodness BB Cream:
- It’s very light and spreadable, definitely easy to apply.
- It has SPF 20 PA++ so you can use it as a sunscreen.
- It matches my skin tone, although it did lean towards a more pinkish hue (more yellow looks better on me since it serves to tone down my usual ruddiness).
- It has a brightening effect and skin looks dewy.
Downside? As I’ve mentioned earlier, it gives very little coverage. It’s not buildable and you can’t use it to replace foundation because makeup doesn’t adhere well to it. I added more product to see if I could get more coverage but no, it was still the same even with a lot more layers. This can be classified as more of a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen rather than a BB Cream. I don’t think I will be using it again though because halfway through the day my face felt like it couldn’t breathe (I can’t explain it… maybe I put too much trying to see if the coverage is buildable) and I actually had to wash it off because I couldn’t stand it anymore. I noticed bumps on my forehead and cheeks the next day (whiteheads? clogged pores? waaaah) so I guess this really isn’t for me.
Avon Skin Goodness BB Cream is available for P399. It’s not cheap, because it’s only 18g. I can get 30g from imported brands at a similar (or even lower) price. Log on to http://www.avon.com.ph for buying information.

Nice, nagkaron pala ng ganitong bb cream ang avon, yun nga lang it is more like tinted moisturizer with sunscreen 🙂
