Before the year ends, I’d like to share Althea’s last two product drops for 2018 — Althea Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist (₱450) and Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser (₱430). I’m pretty amazed at how many products they’ve released considering they only started making them this year.
As an Althea Angel, I get first dibs on all Althea Exclusives product releases.
The Althea Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist is a collaboration with popular Indonesian actress and singer Titi Kamal. True to its name, it’s a sparkling mix of sweet orange, peach, and rosy floral notes. It’s a refreshing fruity floral scent that’s perfectly suited for hot and humid countries like ours. An added plus is its non-sticky formula. It practically disappears after you spray it on leaving nothing but a fresh fragrance.
As for the Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser, it promises to deep clean and purify pores while removing makeup. Since I was just staying home, I decided to apply makeup to my arm to test the product. I picked all long-wearing products like Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, Inglot HD Lip Tint Matte, K-Palette Real Strong Eyeliner, Cathy Doll Realbrow 4D Tattoo Tint, Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick, The Face Shop Designing Eyebrow Pencil, and Revlon Ultra Volume Mascara.
I poured Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser all over the makeup and literally watched them start to melt away. You’re supposed to dampen the skin a bit before applying this but I poured it on straight away without doing so.
I massaged the serum cleanser onto my skin and had an easy time erasing all the makeup.
Then I rinsed off thoroughly with water. My skin felt soft and smooth afterwards. It was perfectly clean too. I cleansed my face with it afterwards just to try how it would feel on facial skin.
What I like about the Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser:
- It’s very easy to use.
- It melts off even the most long-wearing makeup.
- Skin feels nice and fresh after use.
- It’s reasonably priced for a high quality oil-based makeup remover.
- One of its ingredients is mint extract which help exfoliate skin and tighten pores.
- It deep cleans but doesn’t dry the skin.
Downside? None so far. I love using it both as a makeup remover and cleanser.
