Remember when I used the Birthday Budget Planner some time ago to plan my daughter’s simple birthday celebration?
I was finally able to turn the plan into reality yesterday, my daughter’s birthday. Luckily, it was declared a holiday because of Eidl Adha.
We pushed through with our simple family merienda celebration. We drove to the nearest Red Ribbon branch to get what we needed.
We got a Red Ribbon Dedication Cake in Chocolate (P299, pictured above). We had them personalize it with a message too. It was ready in like 5 minutes!
Then we got a tray of Red Ribbon Classic Spaghetti (P500, pictured above) which took about 15 minutes to be ready. We also got a couple of bottles of Lotte Korean fruit juice in Orange and Grape (they cost less than P200 so we actually ended up spending less than the designated P1,000). I totally forgot to get garlic bread, lol! I think I should’ve printed out the plan (there’s an option to do so) rather than commit everything to memory.
Our little girl was very happy with the simple birthday merienda. She’s a homebody so she actually doesn’t like going out much.
There were five of us, just as I had indicated in the Birthday Budget Planner, since we were joined by my mom-in-law. It was a nice and peaceful afternoon celebration which was how our little girl liked it. We were even able to share some food and drink with our yaya and helper! :D<

Thank you Red Ribbon for helping us make this simple birthday celebration a special one.
