UK coffee chain Costa Coffee recently opened its 3rd Philippine branch in BGC. Yes there’s now Costa Coffee BGC!
Costa Coffee BGC is located at the ground floor of One World Place along 32nd St. — it’s actually walking distance to and from Serendra and Bonifacio High Street. I like the spaciousness of this branch… it just exudes a chill vibe.
You can order your drink in 3 sizes!
There are a lot of nooks and crannies you can occupy.
I was there for lunch and I decided to try their new Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich (P175). It’s soooo good. I love the tasty and tender lean beef smothered in melted cheese. The bell peppers add a nice bit of sweetness to it. They use focaccia bread for this sandwich.
They have three new pastries in cups: Key Lime Pie (P110), S’mores Pie (P110), and Banana Chocolate Cream Pie (P110).
Much as I wanted to try them all, I had to choose just one for the sake of my waistline. I choose you, Key Lime Pie (P110)! Well the barista did say it’s the bestseller.
I paired my Key Lime Pie (it’s got a buttery graham crust and a creamy tart-sweet filling that’s spiked with calamansi) with a Fresh Brewed Lemon Tea (Primo P100 / Medio P110 / Massimo P120). I love this drink. It’s super refreshing and it goes well with everything.
I just had to try the Classic Red Velvet (P150). It’s the first time I’ve seen it at Costa Coffee.
If you close your eyes and eat it, it’s very chocolatey. It’s like eating chocolate cake. It’s moist, rich, and dense — definitely worth trying. The frosting is a combination of white chocolate and cream cheese. I would’ve preferred all cream cheese lol.
Hooray for pig out day, hahaha! I had those all to myself.
One trip to Costa Coffee just isn’t enough. There are too many food and drink items I want to try. That same afternoon, I attended a Coffee Masterclass with Genarro Pelliccia, Costa Coffee UK’s master of coffee. He ensures the taste and quality of all Costa Coffee blends. He has the most expensive tongue in the world, insured by Costa Coffee for a whopping 10 million pounds! More on that on a dedicated blog post, stay tuned!
In the meantime, if ever you’re in BGC, do check out Costa Coffee BGC at One World Place.
