I had a leisurely lunch out with Mrs. Martinez and Jen, a colleague of mine from way way back whom I had not seen in a loooong time. This happened about a month ago. 🙂
Anyways, we agreed to meet up at Heat in Edsa Shangri-la Hotel and indulge in their eat-all-you-can lunch buffet. There were so many types of food I got confused which I should get first. I went to the Japanese section because I figured I’d have sushi in place of plain regular rice. Different types of sushi rolls were laid out.
There’s also a miso soup station where you could pop in whatever garnishings you want in your soup. 😀
We all made a beeline for the lechon kawali station. I also got salted egg pieces, sliced green mangoes, and bagoong (Filipino shrimp paste) to go with it hehe.
The Hainanese Chicken came in big Chinese spoons. It’s just the right serving portion for me. 🙂This was my plate after going around. I forgot to take photos of the pizza slices I got from the Italian section.
I settled for a couple of chocolate crinkles and a banana crepe topped with vanilla pudding and chocolate chips. The crinkles were divine. Soft, rich, and chewy plus they had the faint scent of almond essence. Darn I forgot about the Puto Bumbong and Bibingka (Filipino rice cake) which I originally wanted to get from the Filipino section. XD
