Love Beauty and Planet Summer Collection

I first came across Unilever’s sustainable brand Love Beauty and Planet last January. Since then, I’ve pretty much gotten my whole family addicted to the brand. Even the boys, namely my husband and son, prefer using Love Beauty and Planet bath products these days.

The Love Beauty and Planet Summer Collection was introduced during the Unilever Beauty and Personal Care Summit in Tagaytay. It consists of 2 new variants: Coconut Oil and Ylang Ylang (Yellow) and Coconut Water and Mimosa Flower (Blue).

Coconut Oil and Ylang Ylang nourish, repair, and hydrate the hair and skin. Meanwhile, Coconut Water and Mimosa Flower gently cleanses and removes build-up for more voluminous hair. The coconut oil and coconut water used are sourced from local farmers in the Philippines.

Both variants smell divine! I’m inclined to go with the Coconut Oil and Ylang Ylang though since I have dry, damaged hair that needs repair. Both ave shampoo, conditioner, and body wash… with the addition of body lotion for the Coconut Water and Mimosa Flower line.

There’s currently a Love Beauty and Planet Hub at SM Makati. This will be up until March 30, 2019. You can explore interactive displays and avail of special promos with purchase. All the products cost P390 per 400ml except for the body wash which is P290 per 400ml. The Love Beauty and Planet Summer Collection as well as the earlier variants are all showcased at the hub.

I’m already sold with the heavenly scents and the quality + efficacy the products, but there are many other reasons why Love Beauty and Planet is a brand worth supporting:

• They source their ingredients responsibly, making sure that the most of their ingredients come from certified sustainable sources. They have pledged to have this at 100% by 2020.
• Their bottles are made from 100% recycled plastic.
• Their conditioners make use of the fast-rinse technology which shortens shower time, saving water.
• Products are cruelty-free and vegan, plus the formulas are 95% biodegradable.
• Products contain no dyes, parabens, and silicones.
