After our Personal Color Analysis as PIC Color Branding, my daughter and I decided to have our hair colored at Lowe Hair Salon L7 Hongdae. We would see it everyday when we’d walk out of our hotel so I checked Google for info and reviews. Turns out, it’s a branch for foreigners with an English-speaking staff. Since the reviews were good, we gave it a go. This is our first Korean salon experience.
I DM’d their IG account for an appointment, but did not get a reply. Anyway, we just crossed the street and walked in. Lowe Hair Salon L7 Hongdae is located inside the Lotte L7 Hotel, hence the L7 in its name. Lucky for us there were actually 2 stylists available when we arrived. We went for full hair color which cost 100,000 won (about ₱4,200+) per person.
Wow, they have private rooms for salon customers. You really feel like a VIP at Lowe Hair Salon L7 Hongdae. The entire place is so nice and immaculately clean too.
The shampoo area is so state-of-the-art that all you need to do is sit on the chair and it will electronically recline and move towards the wash bowl. We didn’t even have to move to adjust our position.
They even gave me a pillow right after I sat down. Lowe Hair Salon L7 Hongdae also offers coffee, tea, desserts, slippers, and a charging dock for your smartphone. They give a whole new meaning to the term full service.
They asked me what color I wanted, I said Wine Red. My stylist was Tommy. He said I had a lot of white hair underneath (he showed me). He said he would use something that would cover all the white hair. Tommy also gave me a free trim to get rid of the frayed edges. A haircut here costs 30,000 won or ₱1,200+. He used a Dyson Supersonic to dry my hair.
I totally loved Lows Hair Salon L7 Hongdae. Everyone was warm, friendly, and accommodating and they could speak English well. Prices are reasonable too and are actually comparable with more upscale Metro Manila salons.
This is my hair 2 weeks later. It’s the first time my hair became softer and shinier after a full color. It’s also much easier to style after Tommy trimmed it, I was already struggling before leaving for Seoul. If they had a 15-Step Head Spa Treatment I would have availed of it but they don’t. Anyway I will definitely go back to Lowe Hair Salon L7 Hongdae when I return to Seoul.
