Happy Skin Beauty

Happy Skin — makeup that’s good for your skin!

Makeup that’s good for your skin? Is there such a thing? It has always been a popular notion that wearing too much makeup too often can lead to skin problems like clogged pores and breakouts. Not anymore.

Happy Skin BeautyEnter Happy Skin, a local cosmetics brand born from the dream of two ladies who have been in the beauty industry for the last decade. Formulated with the best skin-loving ingredients like Japanese tea leaf, hyaluronic acid, and argan oil, Happy Skin promises to prettify your skin inside and out. All the products are made in Japan.

Happy Skin BeautyThe two ladies I’m referring to are none other than Jacqe Yuengtian-Gutierrez and Rissa Mananquil-Trillo. I met and worked with both of them when I participated in some campaigns for Pond’s Philippines a couple of years ago. The concept behind Jacqe and Rissa’s brand is simple — it’s makeup that’s easy to use, good for the skin, and makes you feel beautiful.

Happy Skin BeautyJacqe and Rissa wasted no time in letting us try their products.

Happy Skin BeautyWe all got our own vanity kit filled with essentials — foundation, blush, and lip color.

Happy Skin BeautyLip color is one of my essentials and so I reached for the lippies first. Happy Skin’s lip color line is called Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippie. It comes in six shades.

Happy Skin BeautyThe look and feel instantly reminded me of Clinique Chubby Sticks.

Happy Skin BeautyOMG. Check out how pigmented the lippies are! They cost a lot less than Clinique Chubby Sticks too… almost half as Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippies cost P499 per stick whereas Clinique Chubby Sticks are priced at P960. I’m so excited to try the other products!

Happy Skin BeautyCongratulations Jacqe and Rissa for a stellar job! I’m loving Happy Skin as early as now! I promise to post detailed reviews in the coming days.
